We are at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel on Maui for 10 days, and while it’s not a swank hotel like its posh neighbors, it’s pretty darn good for the money. The décor is dated and the place is older, but it sits on the best spot of my favorite beach in the whole world.
Kaanapali is the Best Beach
I have been to Maui at least 20 times. When I was in my twenties, I always stayed at my friends’ condos in Kihei for free. And, Kihei is lovely. However, Kihei is way out in suburbia compared to Kaanapali. And, unless your Sugar Daddy is paying for your digs (in which case you want the Grand Wailea hotel), the Kaanapali area has the best mix of beach, kid’s activities, beachside bars, restaurants, easy snorkelling, people watching, and little shops on the island.
